In 2018, IndigenousNCDs was founded in response to the United Nations exclusion of Indigenous peoples within the Zero Draft outcome document Political Declaration of the third high-level meeting of the General Assembly on the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases.
This Croakey Report was prepared as part of these early advocacy efforts:

IndigenousNCDs is committed to Indigenous-led conservations. We recognise the importance of Indigenous peoples and non-Indigenous allies working together for change.
Our vision is for all Indigenous peoples to have the right to participate in the decision-making in matters which affect their social justice rights. And all levels of government take responsibility to ensuring that their practices comply with international human rights standards.
